NERIDA + JORDAN AT OLD DAIRY, MALENY

OLD DAIRY, MALENY

MAY 2019

We love coming to the Old Dairy at Maleny, we cruise long the sunshine coast hinterland tourist drive, soak up the scenery, make a U-turn, and pop down the driveway to the dairy and the stunning view over the valley. It was this view that Nerida and Jordan wanted to capture on their May wedding date.

The soft blush and muted colour palette for the wedding suited the sky on the day with a few hiccups due to late Autumn weather, but after a little patient waiting the day went off beautifully.

Nerida and the girls bouquets were soft floral and all featured trailing hand dyed, silk ribbons (in stormy grey, which was fitting) from the coterie. The florals were quicksand, menta and playa blanca roses, tulips, tweedia, sea holly and carnations for a touch of apricot. White pops of preserved and bleached ruscus, olive and trailing jasmine foliages.

Honestly, Nerida and Jordan were the loveliest couple and so full of joy and love. It was a beautiful day and a pleasure to create their wedding flowers.

The ceremony was overlooking the valley utilising the dairy’s stunning glass deck. We created and attached arrangements to the glass paneling to create a garland-like feel, whilst still allowing full view of the valley and hills and deep stormy sky! Which looked amazing in the photos! We found it so hard to narrow down to just a few for this gallery, thank you Artography for the stunning visuals!

The guests got to throw confetti of olive leaves to celebrate with the newlyweds.

Sandi, you did such a great job with the flowers - thanks for everything -Jordan ------------------------------Sandi, the flowers were absolutely perfect, exactly what we wanted!! Thank you so much!! -Nerida

The Reception. The Barn of the Old Dairy was given a full floral dressing, even the tree that grows through the entrance area was adorned with a floral flourish.  The tables were full with a mixture of large ceramic arrangements in our rose gold/concrete vessels and a mixture of textural vessels with small posies and single blooms showcased.  The lounge area and the fox and turkey bar had trailing and full arrangements also for guests to enjoy before and after the ceremony.

Our arrangements had a similar tone to the bridal bouquets but with a bit of a richer colour palette for the reception, which complimented the styling by Lovebird Weddings, the warm lighting, and Nerida and Jordan’s stationary.

Willow Bud Wedding Florist created these wedding flowers and bridal bouquets. The wedding ceremony and reception designs were created specifically for this bride at this Sunshine Coast wedding venue, but this style could be created at many of our beautiful Sunshine Coast hinterland wedding venues in Maleny, Montville, Mapleton, Obi Obi, and Flaxton. This wedding styling and wedding florals would also match perfectly with venues and beaches in Noosa, Mooloolaba, Caloundra and private properties across the Sunshine Coast.
