VANESSA + JUSTIN AT SPICERS TAMARIND MALENY

SPICERS TAMARIND MALENY

OCTOBER 2019

Vanessa and Justin’s October wedding was all sorts of lovely and an amazing day. They had a subtle native theme, mixed with the softest of blush, ivory and muddy peach florals. The florals were complemented by soft grey and a few pops of contrasting deep burgundy foliage. The afternoon light was captured magnificently by Calli from Calli B Photography. Inspired by the Australian landscape and English cottage gardens –

Vanessa and her bridesmaid’s bouquets were a gorgeous blend of the prettiest Spring, cottage style florals and native elements. Our bouquet was the perfect size for the bride and showcased her stunning gown and its soft textures and colours wonderfully. The feature of her bouquet was a pink king protea, but was complemented by the soft cappuccino roses, mixed cottage roses, ranunculus, flannel flowers, blushing bride proteas and some extra special sweeties like Lunaria, bleached Ruscus, and bunny tail grass.

Vanessa chose to have a stunning hairpiece that accented her veil, we created a full design across the back which tapered softly towards her face leaving the font open. It was a lovely touch and looked so sweet. The hairpiece was created in forever blooms so that it can be kept and admired for years to come. And who can forget her gorgeous flower girl with her delicate halo of wax flowers, so sweet!

It is always lovely to work at Spicers Tamarind, tucked away near Gardiners Falls in Maleny on the Sunshine Coast hinterland. It has a very different feel to a lot of other hinterland venues and the food…LOVE!

There so several gorgeous spaces to get married at Spicers Tamarind. The most popular of which is a short stroll down onto the flattened lawns amongst the native bush. Here we used the arbour provided by the venue, designed a lush floral feature on the corner of the arbour, and used our new textured oatmeal fabric drapes to create a soft and feminine space. We softened the space further by adding fresh rose petals and each guest received a cone of petals to toss as the couple walked down the aisle once married.

The reception space was full of florals using a mix of clear glass vases with soft pretty roses and florals and lush flower-filled arrangements made into soft blush bowls, using foam-free techniques. We styled the tables with our textured oatmeal/blush fabric table runners, which we scrunched and added florals and lots of crystal candle bases and taper candles, votives with tea lights and it looked amazing and lush! Tamarind is such a neutral space, with dark timbers and accents and it looked so nice with a soft and feminine feel.

Thank you so much Vanessa and Justin for the call on the day after your wedding to thank us for all our hard work- its really does make our day! We really appreciate all our couples and we genuinely love working with you all.
