We’re starting to think white and blue might just be the signature colour palette of The Old Dairy, Maleny. We’ve seen this beautiful combination work so many times at this Sunshine Coast Hinterland wedding venue, and it’s easy to understand the appeal. Fresh, timeless and effortlessly beautiful against the surrounding green hills.
Georgia + Nathan’s wedding was another beautiful take on the palette, with romantic, abundant wedding flowers designed to complement the relaxed elegance of The Old Dairy.
The ceremony featured a beautiful freestanding broken arch, with abundant florals and foliage creating a relaxed, garden-inspired backdrop. Along the aisle, clusters of flowers framed the ceremony and added a natural softness to the setting. Georgia + Nathan then celebrated their just married moment beneath a shower of dried white rose petals from our Bowerbird Bride confetti cannons.
The floral arrangements were filled with beautiful seasonal textures, including Playa Blanca roses, dahlias, preserved hydrangea, freesia, ranunculus, delphinium, stock, scabiosa, double tulips and hyacinth. Rounded and ruffled blooms were layered throughout, creating plenty of depth and movement while keeping the overall look soft and elegant.
As the ceremony came to an end, we repurposed the flowers throughout the reception, bringing even more abundance into the space. The broken arch florals were moved to frame the bridal table, while the aisle arrangements were placed at the ends of the guest tables.
Above the reception, a central hanging installation added another beautiful layer, with bountiful trailing foliage and flowers suspended above the celebration. The guest tables were finished with a mix of blooms in petite bud vases and mini bowl arrangements, creating a relaxed and layered look without feeling too formal.
It was such a beautiful celebration for Georgia + Nathan, and we loved bringing their floral vision to life at The Old Dairy, Maleny. The combination of thoughtful floral details, abundant blooms and the beautiful hinterland setting made this one a particularly special Sunshine Coast wedding.
