The Old Dairy in Maleny in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland, hosted their first Winter Open Day this year. We were honoured to be chosen as a this amazing wedding venue’s preferred floral vendor on the day. We got to chat to so many amazing couples with a handful of selected vendors on a lovely August day.

For the day we created a modern, yet timeless styled design with layered blooms, and featuring champagne tulle. Each element was considered with an abundance of texture, movement and whimsy. The tulle reflecting a soft draping bridal veil.

The styling from Simply Style Co and stationary, by Bluebird Invitations featured silver elements, which we paired with silver vessels for a modern edge to the tablescapes. Our colour palette was a soft nude, peach and champagne with a pop of burgundy.

We loved creating this table design of layered blooms, allowing the organic shapes of the florals to sing, yet still being abundant and whimsical – this would create a real feature at your wedding. Each arrangement had its own feel using a mix of table gardens, vessels and bud vases.

The ‘look out’ at The Old Dairy, looked a dream with soft floaty tulle and abundant blooms. Plinth or pedestal arrangements are a popular wedding ceremony choice for The Old Dairy, so this gave our couples a chance to see how the layered florals can work in both the reception space as well as for a ceremony space.

Every time we create some dream florals at this venue, we think they are better than the last – each time we focus on a different style/feel. We love how this all came together. Modern yet romantic, whimsical without being rustic or wildflower styled.
